Happy Mother’s Day Card with Photo

Being a mom is a fulltime job that quite often gets little reward. So it makes perfect sense to celebrate the day when children can show their mother how much they appreciate her love and care. Yeah, I’m talking about Mother’s Day that is just around the corner. Thankfully, there’re a lot of special things we can do to celebrate our moms on this holiday, but what is a better way than make it through a personalized greeting card? Create a beautiful Mother’s Day card with photo, and customize it in any way you like. In this post I’ve gathered some tips to help you design a sweet DIY gift, so click “Read More” to discover these creative secrets!

Start off the celebration of Mother’s Day by giving your mom a cute card, not just any card, but the one that has been created with her in mind. There are many ways to do this –to craft a card with your own hands using colored paper, scissors and a tube of glue; or indulge into creating a digital treat that you can later easily print. If you’ve chosen the latter, you’ll need a convenient photo editing app like Home Photo Studio: http://home-photo-studio.com. Even if digital design isn’t your thing, there are already tons of adorable card templates that you can play with. So let’s get to it!

Step 1 – Pick Family Photos

Show your mom how much you care about her by creating a special Mother’s Day card with photo. It can be some pictures of you and your mom together doing things, images of your mom and her relatives, photos of mom and dad together, pictures of mom and your siblings, photos of your mom doing the things she loves most, and much more to put together in your unique design. Whether you’ve decided to showcase the photos of mom through the years or create a card filled with her favorite pictures of the family, be sure that the result will be heart-warming and one-of-a-kind.

Step 2 – Touch Up Your Pictures

Once you’ve chosen the photos for your Mother’s Day card, it’s time to do proper editing. Begin with the Crop tool to put the best areas of your image into focus. Then you can change the background or blur it to put forward the people captured in the picture. Effects and filters will also be great if you want to make the chosen photos look unusual and entertaining. You should keep in mind, though, that the pearl of your design is yet to come. You aren’t working on a regular collage, it’s a Mother’s Day card with photo and you still need to pick the most moving template.

Step 3 – Apply a Sweet Card Template

Click on the Greeting card icon on the upper toolbar and choose your photo to insert it into a card template. The program will offer you a wide collection of festive templates to choose from. In my opinion, styles in the Flowers category fit the occasion in the best way. They’re perfect for those who want to get a little emotional about how much they love mom. Choose horizontal or vertical, oval or rectangular template, just make sure it has enough blank space to type in your kind greetings. Position the chosen photos into the card template and move to the Text tool.

Step 4 – Write Your Loving Words

Maybe you’d like to spoil your mom with an old poem you wrote when you were a child, or come up with new touching wishes that will most certainly make her beam with delight. Either way you need to click on the Text icon above the canvas and start customizing your caption. Pick another font, change the text size and its color, so that it looks more natural in your design. Add a shadow or contour to funk up the caption. If your Mother’s Day card with photo is already too elaborate, remember that you can’t go wrong with a traditional text style.

The last step is to print your design and present it to your mom

If you’ve decided to go the extra mile and create a personalized Mother’s Day card on this special day, deliver your gift in a way that will really impress your mom. Throw a surprise party, for example, present the card hidden in a bunch of flowers, or post it on her Facebook page. Whatever you choose to do, make sure it is done with love. Unfortunately, we don’t get many opportunities to treat our moms exclusively, so make this Mother’s Day one of them!
